Picasso's painting "Lee Reef" was sold in 2013 for $ 155 million. It was purchased by American businessman Steven Cohen, owner of SAC Capital Advisors LP from Steve Wynn.
The painting depicts Marie-Therese Walter, who is believed to have been Picasso's mistress.
That is a lot of money! Picasso is one of my favorites. I wonder how they know that the painting is of Marie-Therese Walter. Did someone recognize her nose? ;) Thanks for the post.
