If Positive & Negative meets
The journey is to evolve from animal to man, and to eventually reach the Divine.
Once there was a fight between Positive and Negative. What once? This always goes on. It was… it is… it will be… some kind of omnipresence and eternal presence. The argument was who is more powerful? Who is more impactful? Who is more influential?
Positive, with a lot of pride, said, “Everyone wants to embrace me because they think I can get them what they want.” Negative, with a taunting smile, argued, “They have to embrace you, but I am almost inbuilt in their thinking.”
Positive countered, “I make them excited, make them look forward to, and move them towards success.” Negative instantly reacted, “All that, only if I allow you to enter in. I am deep-rooted in them and they are equally deep-rooted in me. They fear failure, fear rejection, and hence fear moving ahead. All because of me.”
“They write books on me,” said Positive. “Don’t you read the newspapers? I make headlines and you are always in the sidelines,” retorted the Negative and that almost dented the self-image of Positive.
Positive clarified, “They invest time and money to develop me in them.” Negative jumped in excitement, “I am freely available. You are a costly affair.”
Now Negative snatched the initiative. “You get in with lots of efforts. I am there effortlessly. You have to be planted and developed. I am ever present and I grow by myself. You have to be maintained. I am free from maintenance.”
“By the power of thinking positive they can become successful,” Positive raised its voice. Negative, with audacity, pounced, “Ha ha… Ho ho… Your very own famous spokesman Voice of Love says, ‘Positive thinking does not guarantee success, but Negative thinking guarantees failure’. See, I am more powerful than you.”
Positive, to live up to its own name, couldn’t give up. It continued, “My positive sense of humour puts a smile on anyone’s face.” Negative, persistent by its very nature, shouted back, “Repeat the same joke a few times and anyone will get bored and irritated. But one sarcastic comment is enough to hurt him for a lifetime and it will keep hurting him more and more, if repeated again and again.”
“By being positive I help in building love in relationships,” murmured Positive. Negative authoritatively argued, “A lifetime of love I can finish in one negative experience and breed hatred for lifetime.” So what, Positive defended, “Your lifetime of hatred can be erased with my one act of forgiveness.” Negative laughed sarcastically, “Forgiveness, my foot. Man is no more forgiving. He seeks revenge. I am sitting inside him and pulling the strings.”
