Blockchain victories in 2018.

Regulatory scrutinies by centralizing governments, a crypto community scrambled in the search to reach agreements, a expectations decline of those who handle large masses of money, a general distrust of the paradigm shift and the absence of a bank control have been some of the reasons for the decline in the cryptocurrency value. This has been the scenario for the cryptocurrency in 2018, which has fallen dramatically, causing discouragement in some, but not all. Even with the environment stirred the Blockchain technology marked a trend in 2018 and will do so again in 2019, as evidenced by its adoption by several sectors of the industry.
Food supply chains and educational institutions, among others, have recognized the benefits of including Blockchain technology in the management of their production process. Here are the most relevant examples.

Malaysia

in association with the Education Ministry of Malaysia, have developed e-scroll, a web application designed with Blockchain technology that allows to protect the issuance of university diplomas, which are usually forged and sold in black markets.

Russia

Proposing to replace the current aptitude test for those who graduate from high school with a Blockchain-based application that is capable of detecting the outstanding talent of each student, including an improvement in the allocation of university degrees to their citizens.

Food sector

Goodr

A solution to the waste of food says the start-up CEO, Jasmine Crowe. Using the Blockchain as a platform, Goodr is able to trace leftovers from restaurant meals to be sent to local charities centers.

Sweetgreen

Some people wants to know the history of the food they eat, from the place where it was harvested to the company in charge of packaging it. Sweetgreen responds by using the Blockchain to manage the tracking of the food you eat.

Transport sector

RZD

The main carrier of Russia seeks improvements in its ticketing distribution system through the Blockchain.

uPort
Swiss Federal Railways, in Switzerland, uses uPort combined with Blockchain to manage identity verification of its workers.
