The shady game of MinerGate

Hello steemians, this is my first step of long journey So please bear with me.
Today I want to disclose something about (Yes you guessed it right) Miner Gate. For those who don’t know what the hell is miner gate let me explain this for them first.

Miner Gate is cryptocurrency mining software for beginners. Why beginners? Because you just need to install the software and signup. That’s it. No need to know the technical things like pool, GPU mining software or CPU mining software. Easy-peasy Right.

In many perspective Miner gate is great piece of software. For example:

1. You can choose that you want to do GPU or CPU mining.
2. You can do GPU and CPU mining at the same time.
3. You can add more pools too.
4. And it has smart miner which can suggest best cryptocurrency according to the exchange rate.

The 4th option is best for those who couldn’t decide which currency is best for mining. And from my perspective it is the best thing. And one more thing which is little bit technical (Don’t quote me on this) you can mine multiple currencies by assigning cores, so if you have 8 core CPU you can assign 4 cores to bitcoin and 4 cores for Bytecoin. How cool is that means total flexibility.

So many great things, right? No. There are some flaws too, which is serious. Let me explain this shady game.

When you open the miner gate the smart miner will suggest you the best currency to mine which is right now Monero. You click on play button and mining will start. So?? What’s wrong in that there is no shady game. What’s the point of this article. Hold on, hold on. Let me explain. When you go to the miner tab you will notice that you started the one miner (Monero) but your software is running the second one too which is FCN (FantomCoin). And you can’t stop that. It will not even show you the highlighted buttons So you can’t catch them. But in mysterious way it will mine continuously until you stop the mining of monero. Yes, you read it right, when you stop the monero mining it you will stop the FCN too. Its like controlling two TV with the same remote. Why it is important. Because your computer will waste some power on the other cryptocurrency which you don’t want to mine.

So, why they are doing that sneaky thing? is there any purpose? I think yes, there is a purpose. Remember, what is Miner gate? It is mining software for beginner. Yes, beginner is a keyword here. A layman will not notice this sneaky thing easily. And when they leave the platform who will keep that mined coin. Yes, MinerGate.

So be careful guys. I think this is all about authority. If you want to mine one cryptocurrency why software is mining two. And I don’t think that is a bug. It’s a shady game to cheat beginners who don’t have the knowledge.
