This has gotten me looking at Minetest a bit more seriously than I used to, as it seems like a good way to do some Minecraft type stuff for free, especially considering what you can do with it!

Thank You! You may see the list of mods that I use on the "Mods Used" page on my site https://rgsproductions2005.com The game has come a long way and is only getting better!

I do have Minecraft already, but I do think that Minetest would be better for building a sub-community of sorts, for people who like these sorts of games; because it's free, there's little barrier to entry, which I think is important.

Sorry about the late post. The main thing about Minetest is the Mods. The entire game is centered around the community with texture packs and easy modding. The fact that it is free is means that there is no money lost if one does not like the game.

np, I know how it goes :)
And yeah, I totally agree... I think that some people are intrigued by Minecraft, but at the same time, aren't interested enough to part with their money to try it out, or they can't afford to!
