So, I was tempted to start some mining a few weeks ago. My son and I built a used rig and found some local sellers for some inexpensive video cards, aka GPU's. For under about $250.00 USD with 2 GPUs, we fired up the rig, and it's been running smooth. Nothing big, but it's interesting to see the possible returns. Obviously the fluctuating price of the coin will dictate ROI, but as of today's price we are bringing in just under 1% a day.

Yes you can buy GPU's, but not the ones we need for ether, unless you want to pay above msrp.
