The Mining Camp Restaurant catches on FIRE on July 25th 2017!!!!
- Any Visitor to the Mining Camp Restaurant has an experience liken unto no other
place on earth.
*The Mining Camp restaurant is loaded with history of the area with magazine
clippings attached to every square inch of the walls along with historical artifacts
from an area that held suspense and mysteries from a miner who kept his gold
well hidden in the heart of the Superstition Mountain that surround Apache Junction
Arizona.
*Thrill seekers have come to try their luck at finding the gold that the lost Dutchman
found and hide in the Superstition Mountains. Still today miners prospectors would
stop in at the Mining Camp Restaurant and tell their stories BUT none have been
able to locate the gold that the Lost Dutchman hide away so many years ago.
*Cindy and I loved to eat at the Mining Camp Restaurant and the that was built
in 1961 and in 2010 off off of the Mining Camp Restaurant was added the
Dutchman's Hideout Restaurant. Both of these restaurants held to high standard
of cooking. The Mining Camp Restaurant was in cased with Ponderosa Pine which
was hauled in from Payson, Arizona. The tables were long as in a cafeteria design
and made out of heavy pine 2" thick pine, and the plates that were served are
metal and the silver ware well it was metal to just like a real mining camp would be.
All you could eat and let's just say you never left hungry with the cooked ham, racks
of rib and chicken that would leave your mouth watering for more. Servers never let
the food plate become empty always serving more right away, along with their signature
Prickly Pear jam what a delight to savor on top of bread and vanilla ice cream. Also Cindy
and I would eat in the Dutchman's Hideout oh let me tell you the stakes are so tender and
smoked with just the right amount of Mesquite wood aw just talking about it makes my
mouth water even now.
*At the Mining Camp you could reserve a section for Weddings,
Private parties and even Company BBQ's. *
*Cindy and I are saddened to have lost such a gem in the desert, and as these two
restaurants burnt down, our hearts and prays go out to the women and men who worked
their and keep the old west alive with their talents and never ending hospitality. When
and not if they rebuild we will again enjoy all the wonders and scenes of the old west
and will make an update to what we have all lost. Please keep them in your PRAYS and
THOUGHTS and if you would like and want leave them a message at - [email protected]*
