Trading is better if you want to make money without dealing with technology. With mining you have to know how to maintain the miner and work with console miners and have access to cheap electricity. With trading you earn money with your own research and intellect.

Long term seems like cyrptos are moving away from Proof-of-work, so I would definitley say trading.
