Kayaking in Monterey Bay

in ministories •  7 years ago

I grab the kayak and drag it to the sea.
While knee deep in the sea I sit very carefully in the bobbing kayak.
Grabbing the paddle I make big strokes and move away from the waves crashing into the shore.
Traveling quickly to deeper water I see sailboats and the nearby shore fading away.

I must carefully navigate the waterway near the harbor with all my arm power I clear the water way.
There is seals swimming in the water they dive off a big pile of rocks.
The current is now very strong so I must turn back. My arms are sore after an hour of paddling.

I turn the kayak almost capsizing with the moderate swells. I turn back towards the shore and breath I sigh of relief.
Relieved that my adventure is over and I made it safely back.
