A great alternative to Amazons mturk is a website called clickworker. If you are in to making money online then you are familiar with the name and also know that UHRS is part of the clickworker platform and is always loaded with better work than the actual website itself. To those not familiar with Clickworker it is another crowd sourcing website that pays you to complete small tasks. It doesn't involve phone calls and you can start making money with online an Internet connection and some way to surf. I will describe it in more detail so that you can get an idea as to how it works.
The earnings on Clickworker varies by tasks. It claims to be able to make 9 $ per hour but speaking from experience it is a little less than that. The more difficult tasks pay the highest and naturally the easier pay a lot less. It all depends on the tasks loaded in to the system at the time you log on. The payout is usually done once you reach ten dollars but the process has changed to weekly regardless of the amount earned. So that's always a plus. You can be paid to either PayPal (USA only) or direct deposit.
Tasks
The variety of tasks is big. There are search engine evaluations to writing to transcribing and surveys, although you will need to be qualified for some of these projects. The qualification process is very simple though. All that is needed is to take a simple test where you have to follow directions and finish the practice task with less than three errors. If you fail the test you are allowed to repeat them up to 3 times. If you fail all three you are locked out of the tasks in that category with no way to reverse it so take it seriously and look through all of the practice material they offer you. Much like mturk, your balance will not reflect the work completed until it is looked at by the requested and they approve it. The amount of time it takes is all on the requester so it's hard to place a number on the length of time it takes to be approved. It is a little confusing to get setup and started so here is a small guide in order to access the higher paying work a lot faster.
Profile
First is your picture. Not important but if you have one I would recommend throwing one up. Also make the 'about me' clear and grammer perfect. English should be added to the languages tab as well as any other language you speak. Label English as your native language of course unless it is something else, in which case you will put that language as native and move on.
Make sure you check off the work type you are familiar with even if you don't have any experience in it. That way more work will open up for you. If you aren't experienced in some areas it is not hard to do some quick research and familiarize yourself with the task of it comes up. It's smarter not to place limits up so early so trust me on this one.
Assessments
The MOST important assessment you will face will be the "qualification for UHRS l". It involves an easy to complete English part and the more difficult info finding part. Although it Isent hard to pass both of these they are slightly tricky but just follow this guide and you are guaranteed to pass.
English
The best advice i can give for this is DO NOT RUSH. If you speak English then the answers are easy as long as you are paying attention to everything. If you try and rush through it then the chances of missing key questions multiply and failure will not be far behind. Be smart.
Info Finding
For this section you will need to prove you are familiar with the Internet enough to be able to visit a website and locate a company name, address and phone number as well as a couple of other small things. It is pretty easy. The only tricky part will be the address. Pay extra attention to the format they want the address in because you need to be detail specific. Aside from that its a breeze so finish and submit then move on to the next one. Qualification for UHRS ll two is not an actual test. Instead it is a step by step guide to creating a windows live id which is how you will log in to the UHRS dashboard.
Congratulations, you are now approved to complete tasks on Clickworker and also UHRS.
UHRS
UHRS will be the best way to make money on Clickworker. The Clickworker site has tasks also but most people concentrate on only UHRS tasks. The only catch is that for every type of HitApps they offer you will need to pass a qualification test before you are able to make money with it. I would recommend spending a lot of time reviewing the guidelines they offer and also trying the practice tests before you do the actual test since failing them three times will result in the HitApp becoming unavailable forever so take your time and take it seriously. I hard to learn this lesson the hard way. Most tasks average to around 5 cents each. There are mistakes made by the site and requesters or are way too picky as to what is the right answer so don't hesitate to skip what you feel is impossible and work on the ones you can do. Make sure you jump on the higher paying work even if you don't know how to see if you can learn. Never underestimate yourself or sell yourself short. It won't kill you to try as the rewards far outweigh the risks. They give you different type of stats on your completed hits so if you want you can calculate which hits pay you more per hour and only do the highest paying ones. That is completly optional however so don't limit yourself unless you feel strongly against the low paying spectrum.
I would like to close this off by stating that Clickworker/ UHRS is an excellent source of income for those serious about making money online. I've heard of people making a living with this site if the hard work and time is there. Even if you only do this every once in awhile it should be a mandatory addition to your web money site arsenal. Use this along with the other methods I've explained and you will be able to quit your day job in no time at all ( results may vary ). What are you waiting around for? Get out and get that money. Thanks for reading.
