MSP Weekly Meeting Minutes 10/28/17

Weekly Moderator Meeting Minutes are taken by @isaria and then lightly word smithed by the group before we vote on them in a later Moderator Meeting. These minutes were approved- 11/25/17

MSP3k:

Aggroed purchased 500 more steem with @minnowsupport so MSP3k now has 10k organic steem power!

Witness voting:

Aggroed has posted that he will remove his witness votes and will start proxying to Minnow Support starting on the first Saturday in December.

All witnesses will now have to write a post with an application asking for the Minnow Support witness vote.

It has been requested that we all proxy to Minnow Support now to increase the stake weight.

Governance doc has 3 Witness tiers:

• Managing
• Delegating
• Support

This way it is clear which witnesses are contributing and in what way.
The people that are associated with Minnow Support increase their success with their witness campaigns.

Mod rules:

We voted that mod rules are a good idea.
Basic guidelines/rules for being a moderator.
Aggroed will make a basic outline and we can add to it.
We have to make sure that all mods follow behaviors that we all agree to.

New Mods:
We have voted that we do need new mods and we will be bringing 2 in at a time.
We have decided to approach people that we like and also to make a post asking for applications.

Committee Updates:

Recruiting:
Kubby has been working on a mission statement for human resources, what is required etc. She has gathered people that have certain niches so that they are promoting on their posts.
She has teamed up with Inquiringtimes and his discord to help recruit people as well.
Aggroed likes that she has included people who aren’t mods.

Side note: Aggroed says that if projects get to big we are welcome to make our own discord channel to manage the project.

Finance:
Shane and Jeff have an idea for an MSP account that will be used for contests or reimbursements.
They will be working this week on ideas to grow income for Minnowsupport- ideas for bots and ideas for finding people for the committee. They will be making a full presentation next weekend.
Agrgroed has requested that that they make a post about it.

Curation:
Sammo mentioned the curation trail of about 20 people that is trailing (front -running?) creative bot.
He wants to form a room to get more people in the group.
Aggroed wants the curation team (isaria, julia, sammo, ma1neven) to form curation groups and for us to form room to discuss.

Side note: Aggroed recommends forming rooms for the committees so we can discuss things.

Other Roles:

Community leaders:
Aggroed wants to make inquiringtimes an official community leader for training, greeting in MSP, and on-boarding to steemit. Crimson is concerned with using the name “greeter” because there may be some confusion with our actual PAL greeters in the shallow end. She wants to be specific with our labeling: Ambassador, community leader, community liaison etc. Especially, because he isn’t specifically working for MSP.
Aggroed asked the Palnet organization members (Crimson, Julia and Sammo) to work out the language and structure for these roles.

Gmuxx and the Writers Block:

Aggroed and Gmuxx had a good call together.

MSP alliance/MS3PK review audit:

Ausbitbank made an outgoing votes link that tracks the @minnowsupport votes through steemreports.com

It shows who uses it to self vote and gives percentages.

Concern is making sure minnows are the primary recipients.

Ausbit brought this up because he doesn’t want us to be perceived as being corrupted.

So he is going to keep his eye on this to review and watch for drains.

Sammo recommended using tiered access for voting:
Junior Mod
Regular Mod
Senior Mod
Delegators

Aggroed said that is going to be tough to do as far as programming.

But we can make separate upvote rooms:
5% room
10% room
20% room
etc.
