The Siberian Taiga forest home to various dangerous animals such as bears, wolves to name but a few.
A place most adults would not be able to survive, let alone would expect a toddler to, not for a moment.
Yet a 3 year old Russian girl named Karina whom eluded her grandmother in whose care she was left, and followed her dad into the forest without his knowledge and ended up getting lost very deep in the forest. Lucky for her she had a very faithful dog that kept her company on her journey and also slept by her side, keeping her warm during the cold nights.
Karina survived for nine days eating berries and drinking water from a fountain under close guard of her dog Nadia.
The faithful K9 started scouting for help after 9 days leaving Karina to her own devices in order to find help. The rescue team came to Karinas aid a total of eleven days after she initially went missing.
