When we sit down to write,
We all hope that our hard work and effort transferring our thoughts to the block gets the attention it truly deserves.
The hard truth is
that even when people vote on our carefully crafted offerings, the likelihood that even a handful of people read it from start to finish is slim at best.
Even when you have thousands of followers. It surely happens.
Often our work is overshadowed by the colorful creations of others, unseen due to poor timing, or let's face it, it just wasn't as good as we deemed it to be in the first place.
So we can get mad,
We can get frustrated,
We can complain that nobody recognizes our obvious brilliance...
OR
We can just get over ourselves and get back to the drawing board. Like the mad scientist back to the lab, creating, tweaking and freaking frequencies until it finally resonates with the our fickle audiences.

Many times when I first started out I'd be writing a post thinking....
"This is the ONE" only to be disappointed. It can be incredibly frustrating when you first kick off on Steemit.
I was the same dude, I took a bit of time to get markdown sorted and when I look back I'm not surprised that some posts did badly even with decent content. I was lucky enough to join MSP at its beginning and then go on to pick up followers like you that helped to get me noticed.
Revisiting your old work really gives you a sense of how far you've come and what it takes to do relatively well here. There are one or two posts I may repost in the future as they were solid albeit naively put together.
Congratulations on getting to 3000 followers buddy, you are one of the few people here on Steemit who I can say with all honesty that completely deserves and has earned the following and the rep you have achieved.

LOL - How many times did I have the same thought "This is the ONE" after slaving away for hours only to have it disappear into oblivion just as quick as it was posted. I've made several "reposts" when I feel they're relevant to some news or event, as i write this i have the Sandusky story up, most people are not going to go digging through your old posts anyhow. I guess the lesson here is all good things come to those who wait. I know 1 or 2 people that started off really well ( votes and payouts ) and then petered out which I'd imagine is harder to take than the slow burn we encountered. You just gotta keep grinding away and stay true to your work.

Everyday, Minnows of my community (or even me), we want to quit Steem. You know... this strange relashionship love/hate we probably all have with Steem.....
We want to quit because :
But why are we on Steem ?
Because of the money/the views or to built ( a brighter) the future ? And for the community?
We have to be here as
This posts is very inspiring. Because you show that you didn't quit. If you would have quit, you would not be where you are now.
This is inspiring for every Minnows who arrive, for every minnows who struggle.
Our brillance will finally be shown if we don't quit, this is something I truly believe... even if it should takes times. Some people will never even known that they will impact the world because their brillance will be discovered after dead.
But what's the main objectif ? Feeding our ego or impacting the world to make a better one ?

This question can only be answered by the individual user. We all have different goals and motivations.
Sure, people want financial freedom, they crave recognition and appreciation from others.
Yet, there are other reasons too and I've touched on this several times in previous posts. The blockchain provides a unique platform that (in theory at least) is censorship-proof. A place where we can know that our thoughts, writings and musings are immutable.

The illuminati card game was designed by Steve jackson who used to write the fighting fantasy gamebooks alongside Ian Livingstone during the 80/90s. It was Livingstone that went on to form Eidos interactive (tomb raider etc) and to add mystery to the card game myth Jacksons office was raided by the secret service shortly after their production, data piracy is the official explanation. I think Jackson now makes rpg computer games and continues to write the occasional book.
