"To kill A Mockingbird"

(Lite Spoiler)

"You never know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around him."

The word is probably the eternal truth! We spend most of our lives if I calculate it around 99% of decisions or judgments based on our own perspective plus there are rules created by society, these rules accelerate our decisions or attitudes and do so in abundance. But we do not judge the person we judge from his point of view or his position, relative to his situation. Not even.

I saw a wonderful movie today. No movie is watched for a long time. When I decided to watch it today, I started searching on IMDB to see any old classic movies. Finally got this movie.

"To Kill A Mockingbird"
Year: 1962
Imdb Rating: 8.3/10
Directed By: Robert Mulligan
Written By: Harper Lee

The story is between 1930-40. An old monotonous town called Mecom. Small town but mostly home to working class and economically independent families. There are few poor (Negro) families here. The weather is very hot here. Due to the heat, even though the day was 24 hours, it felt like 1 year. Scott was born in this city.

The current age of 6 years will enter school life shortly. Father Atticus Finch is a prominent local lawyer. no mother His mother died when he was 2 years old. He has a 12-year-old elder brother. The name is Jem Finch. Atticus takes care of them.

Everything in the movie is basically shown through the eyes of these brothers and sisters. They play together in the garden every day, Race with car tires. They also have another playmate named Dill Harris.

He also comes and plays with them after a few days but also tries a little bit of cool style and flexes and what not. Like he wakes up at 4 am every day since birth. What are the thoughts of children.

Now coming to the character of Jem's sister Scott, she is a very soft hearted but little angry type of girl. Cannot bear insult of father or brother. Jem is brave but sometimes seems overconfident.

But don't get angry in the slightest. There is always an abandoned house haunted by a ghost or demon in the games or stories of young children. Where the ball cannot be brought. It cannot be parked inside or on the balcony.

Here too there is such a house on the heads of these three people. Of course, not only them, but all the children of that society have all the terrible stories of that house in their heads. And there is no one else to tell these stories.

Either their parents or society. Here the society means those who are big people, who are economically influential, who are highly educated. They don't want their little boys and girls to go in front of those poor and helpless houses. Talk to them. That's it. But Atticus is the opposite.

His thinking is not like the other two or four educated egoists of this society. He even forbids Jem and Scott from teasing the poor wretch one day. Let them be as they are.

Because Scott, Jem and Dill were going to the house every day doing something or other. People used to try to verify that there was a boy with demonic features. Children's minds are like that, always curious.

But when they are caught doing this by Atticus, Atticus, Jem and Scott are told not to hate these needy poor people. They listen to their father. Also stops peeping.

But Scott still has that imagined ghost in his head. The desire to see him did not diminish. Atticus is always worried about Jem and Scott. Especially with Jem. As Jem grows older, his view of the world changes. As we age, we are constantly exposed to new experiences. The movie continues like this. One day when Atticus is spending summer vacation with his children, a case comes to him.

A negro named Tom Robinson was charged with rape. But she is completely innocent and Atticus must fight for her. Atticus reluctantly agrees to fight the case. From this moment the movie moves towards the conclusion.

And many things are left for you. There is also a twist at the end. I tell it here and watch the movie I will not spoil the feeling. Of course, I didn't say much in this post.

You will understand many things while watching this movie. Especially its dialogues. Why the dialogue of classic movies is unique! No marpatch, not too difficult to understand Simple but Govir type.

For example, in one scene Atticus tells his son Jem,"There's a lot of ugly things in this world, Dad. I'd keep you away from them if I could. But that's never possible."

This movie has a novel called Saim. Many people say that the novel is better. However, comparing a novel with a 2-hour movie is absurd. But if you want to read the novel first, you can read it. The characters can be understood a little better in this arc.
