Kinkakuji - Metal model

in model •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi there,

here's my first attempt at macrophotography of model building.
These are shots of a metal model I built of the famous Kinkakuji (literally "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"), a golden Buddhist Japanese temple located in Kyoto.
The pics have been taken with a 50 mm lens provided with a +10 diopter lens.
The kit came in two sheets where the pieces had to be removed from before being assembled through a system of tiny tabs and eyelets. It took me a few hours to complete it and some parts weren't as easy to assemble as I would have expected but in the end it was manageable.
How does it look? Let me know what you think of it, guys!

Cheers!
