Today I learned that the city of Modesto in California (literally "modest") is named after the modesty of a specific person. The city was supposed to be named after him, but due to his modesty, he gave up the honor.
In the picture, the person in question: William Ralston, a real estate investor and founder of the Bank of California

@yairdd, Good to know this fact and in my opinion an individual or their family get the great privilege if one place named as their name.
And good to know that you've got to know one new thing today, and in my opinion we have to explore the information and we have to learn everyday.
And when we learn any facts inturn these information can expand our world, thinking and most importantly Knowledge Of Vision.
Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂
