Dubai launched a tourism market called Tourism 2.0. It is designed to help travelers find the best deals on hotels and tour operators.
On Wednesday, April 18, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing launched Tourism 2.0, a virtual market based on a block system that connects users with hotels and travel operators. The platform will evolve to make Dubai the leading place for global travel in 2020.
With the platform, operators can access the cost of living in a hotel and the cost of a room in Dubai, which will help customers find the most suitable offers. The platform will also allow tourists to customize their trips in the city.
Development for 10 years ahead
Department of movement is part of a larger initiative known as Dubai 10X, which is supported by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and its goal is to make the government agency of Dubai for ten years ahead of the rest of the world in all sectors. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the DFF, announced the terms of tourism in Dubai at the sixth World Summit of the Government in February, among other innovative initiatives Dubai 10X, which includes a total of 26 projects, proposed by 24 state structures.
Dr. Helal Said Al-Murray, CEO of DTCM, commented on the adoption of blockages in the tourism market:
"By increasing the pace of digital transformation in the tourism sector, Dubai is positioning itself to expand tourism by introducing new innovative companies into the ecosystem, which will ultimately benefit from a faster and faster conversion of visitors and an increase in the impact of GDP, "he said.
"As a pioneer in adopting the most secure and transparent virtualization technologies in the tourism sector, we can optimize booking processes and create a travel democracy for all," Al Murray added.
In May 2013 in Dubai, the "Tourism Vision 2020" program was launched, which aims to reach 20 million visitors in 2020. Last year, the city was visited by 15.79 million visitors, which is 6.2% more than in 2016. Tourism 2.0 will help the city achieve the 2020 Vision objectives.
