Buongiorno Steemians! Here Agostino speaking, I'm Italian and I love food!

Today I want to give you a present, the first secret happy recipe of my friend Ciro!

Say hallo Ciro:

If you go to Milan for the fashion week you can smell the good taste of the saffron a wonderful spice derived from a flower, its color is bright yellow and its taste is pure heaven!

Saffron is not only used in culinary purposes, but also for therapeutic purposes. Were the Arab peoples who first attributed the therapeutic properties attributed to prior to even induce happiness, almost a natural antidepressant.

And now,  The SAFFRON RISOTTO!!!!

Ingredients:

  • 280 g Carnaroli rice type  you can buy it on Amazon my friend ;)
  • 60 grams butter
  • 1 sweet onion
  • Saffron 2 sachets
  • 100 grams grated parmesan
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 4 dl vegetable stock
  • salt and pepper

  1. After preparing the vegetable stock, diced onion.
  2. Put it in a pan.
  3. Transfer the pan to the heat and add 60 grams of butter.
  4. Sauté the onion
  5. Add the rice
  6. Stir and toast for a few minutes.
  7. Now wet the rice with half a glass of dry white wine and let it evaporate, stirring.
  8. At this point add the vegetable stock.
  9. Add the contents of a sachet of saffron and mix to distribute it to all the rice.
  10. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
  11. Turn off the heat, add butter and Parmesan cheese.
  12. And stir Add a second dose of saffron.
  13. Stir and let stand a minute.
  14. Transfer to a serving dish Sprinkle with a little 'pepper and grated Parmesan
  15. Serve with dry white wine.
