Bitcoin has been rumored to move to proof of stake, so why is that?

Recently ethereum which is probably the most known cryptocurrency besides bitcoin has moved to PoS algorithm, and Niklas Nikolajsen (Founder of Bitcoin Suisse, also predicts that after ethereum has proven that the PoS algorithm is a success, bitcoin will also make the transition.

Nikolajsen said:

“Bitcoin’s move to Proof-of-Stake is not planned, but the second-largest cryptocurrency, Ether, will move to a Proof-of-Stake concept that demands vastly less electricity, already in a few months. I’m sure, once the technology is proven, that Bitcoin will adapt to it as well.”

So now the question is, is PoS a superior over PoW, in my opinion it is. There's no need for huge amounts of miners or electricity for that matter.
Also anyone can do it, not just people with a ton of money for miners and electricity.

Would you like to see bitcoin move to a PoS algorithm? Please share your opinion in the comments.

Also don't tip me for this I didn't put much time in to this and I'd just love to hear everyone's opinion :)
