Steemit can not handle such a big amount of posts?

Lately i have been getting this alot, dont know why it happens yet it does last for 1-10 min and then comes back.

I would suspect a DDOS attack or some kind of hacking, but i do think that them kind of things have been prevented.
But never say never these worms always find a hole how to dig in.
@dan or @ned might know more about this, but i doubt they ever going to look into my posts.

Though every time website goes down i get them strange shivers and i think well that is it this is the end of steemit.
Since im such a huge fan of this website, and i have burned down from a ponzi scheme called Hashocean.
Yes yes im one of then victims, and i know that steemit is completely different thing than cloud mining since there is no actual investment needed to earn something. What is great i love that part, ofcourse investing is always wise if you do know what you are doing.

The part that changed many people lives is they havent invested they just had bug success to make a great post and get into the trending that is how you become rich here.
No matter you are rich or poor the better the post the more you earn that is all there is.

And when many people say its all up to whales i disagree with them since well if you already got 100+ up-votes probably they have seen your post and they did not like it that much to up-vote.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

I'm not as cynical but every time the site has has a technical issue, I get a little nervous. It's most opaque around technical issues and things like hosting logistics and security, everything else is so transparent.

It's been happening for a while. I wouldn't worry about it. Steemit is still in beta and it's obvious they were not ready for so many users so soon. I bet they figure this stuff out - all of this is normal and expected for any large scale internet platform in their infancy.

A lot of growth going on that is why.

Liberosist has a point, but i agree with you still scary!
