Lately I've been thinking about becoming a freelancer. I have some marketing, sales and writing skills, yet all the freelance websites, such as upwork, that are available take a lot of your money in fees as well as strip you of you anonymity. I really want work that I can do remotely, but also not have to file any sort of IRS tax forms. I'm sick of the IRS always coming for my money. So I did some research on some sites that you can be paid with crypto and that you don't even have to identify yourself on. I found the holy grail.
Behold! Ethlance!
This opensource site is a decentralized app that allows multiple parties to connect and exchange labor and skills for the cryptocurrency ether. This site charges no fees whatsoever. Since the site is on the Ether network, you must pay gas fees when interacting with the network. For example, if you want to submit a form to become a freelancer, you have to pay a gas fee of a few dollars. This seems like a pain, but it is definitely worth it in exchange for no fees from the site.
There isn't a ton of work on the site, but I see a lot of potential here. This could open the floodgates for individuals who are not interested in being apart of a controlled economy.
Let me know what you guys think of this site.
