To Spend Or To Invest

This will be my very first article here on steemit, and I want it to be straight from my heart, and it won’t be a happy one, because I am grieved inside, with what’s happening in the world today, yes there are a lot to cause someone pain in the heart and mind, but I am not here to write about it all, but just want to focus on one sector, that is really makes me sad, and that is the world money problem… Yes indeed we have a money problem in this world we live in today, and yes the economist, elites and bankers know this full well, but why should they bother about it, when they have created the problem to keep us all as dummies, because where your wealth is, there will your heart be also… they fully control our wealth and money, by so doing, they fully control our hearts, You doubt it? I don’t blame you, I guess you are so at peace with their control, that you are not willing to wake up and realize all the things wrong with the system… I titled this article To Spend Or To Invest, because that is your two option with money, one you have to take for yourself, but honestly we do not make that decision for ourselves anymore, do we? really think about it, In the Traditional financial market in the world we are living in today, we are encourage, in fact, forced to spend rather than to invest… in so many ways, but let me just give one quick personal example, Last Year a friend gave me $500 iTunes gift code as a birthday gift, I was really excited but wanted that in cash instead, but I don’t live in the States or where I could easily find someone on the street who would want to pay me cash for the code, so I decided to sell it online on ebay, but after reading the T&C, I noticed that they do not want me to sell the stuff on there, of course I could go ahead and placed it on there anyway, but what if I had problem with the payment from seller and wanted a refund, the odds will be against me, so I decided not to place it on ebay, but then I decided to find investment apps on iTunes store that will allow me to invest this money in my balance to some stock, any stock, something like Robinhood, but guess what, I could found non, why? Major reason was because I am not a US Citizen… so guess where that $500 finally ended up? on in-app purchases for iPhone games, yes that was very easy to do, no country restriction or minimum account balance to do that at all, was smooth and fast and everyone is happy…well yes everyone is happy, that is why they have not been any great revolution against financial exclusion for billions of people because of country to because they don’t have first some kind of minimum amount… that sure billions of people from developing countries like mine do not have.
Then same last year I discovered Cryptocurrencies, first through bitcoin, and was amazed at the ease of use, not restriction because of your country or because of your net worth or because of no minimum account balance, and the seconds you get a bitcoin or some satoshi, you can immediately sign up on some exchange and start trading, wow, imagine this for a second, the freedom it truly gives you to invest your small change rather than to waste it on some stupid game you will get bored of in a couple of months… To me this is one of the major appeal of cryptocurrency, the freedom and control you will have over your money, it actually encourages you to invest, get money coins, no matter what it is, even if it’s 0.0 something, it doesn’t matter.
I think last year was the year a lot of people discovered this freedom, and are deciding to partake in it, and a lot has made millions from just a few hundreds or thousands, Investing on ICOs. This truly has helped spread wealth, and enriched lives or people that would never have had that opportunity or exposure to finance like this, maybe because of their country or because they don’t already have a lot of money piled up… and this success was not just felt only on the online scene, even the IMF Opening Remarks for the World Economic Outlook Update Press Conference on January 22, 2018 noticed the growth and gave this brief overview: “Global growth has been accelerating since mid-2016, and all signs point to a further strengthening both this year and next. This is very welcome news. “ I am sure the banks will like to claim their “policies” and stuff is what is leading to this global growth, but I sense the real driving force for this success is because of cryptocurrencies, and the incentive to invest no matter who you are, where you are from, and how little you have.
The elites, bankers and economist can sell for themselves the opportunity to every body in the crypto space, yet they don’t like that unrestrained opportunity, they want it to be like it is in the traditional market, where with policies and regulations, they filter away billions of people from the market, and from the opportunities it present. Look at this statement from a Nobel Prize winner Stiglitz: “So by regulating the abuses you are going to regulate it out of existence,” said Stiglitz that cracking down on “secret” Bitcoin use cases would “regulate it out of existence.” and was joined by Swiss National Bank chairman Thomas Jordan, who in a speech also argued for tough restrictions on how Bitcoin can be used. Imagine this, they don’t care for regulations for the good of people, but to prevent certain billions of people from financial success… Someone who wins a nobel award, you would expect would always seek to add to what enriches people lives, globally!, as for abuse, is there no abuse or secret use of fiat? The Swiss National Bank Chairman should be ashamed of himself, because where I come from Nigeria, Corruption is a major problem, and were most of the stolen funds are traced to? you guessed it “Switzerland” over billions and billions, why not regulated corruption out of existence first? Hmmm I just looked up and noticed this has gotten a bit too long, I wanted this to be short and straight to the point but this is not a simple matter, but I will end this here for now… I may do a Part 2 of this, if you guess support and want it… but until then, be weary fo government and polices, it will be to keep you out of success not protect you. greetings to you all
