You might recognized that disssion making can be different when you feel different. If you feel really stressed, or there is a lot of pressure on your job the desssions you make can be different than when you have high positive energie and you feel confident.
Now your emotional changes a lot during the day. If you look at how you feel at 3 different points during the day you ll find most likely 3 different states. Our emotional state can change really fast for example if a client rejects you, if someone irritates you, when you’re having a setback, or when someone gives you a compliment.
Now if your dissision making also changes so much during a day, it will have consequences. Example project which you now turn down because your in a bad state, or the other way around. So we need a way to objectify our disscion making and for this we are going to use values
Now first what is a value. A value is a motive for action. It are those things which are important for you where you want your actions to be based on. Examples can be partnership, creativity, innovation, trust, profitability. Let me give you an example of how this works. lets get back to the project example. And let say that you values are: Profitability, creativity and innovation.
Now you have to look if your project is profitable, creative and innovative. If yes it’s a go if it’s a no you lose the project.
