I’LL WET MY PANTS – THAT’S WHY I’M WEARING PAJAMAS

Fear from unknown, or the ignorance can cause fear!

When we know something we’re self-confident but ignorance makes us cowards. Fear blocks us. Simply, if we are frightened we cannot go forward.

Small child wears pajamas for more reasons:

-to keep them warm,

-to protect the bed if he wet his/her pants

-to look more refined in the home

Fear among adults creates cover that doesn’t let them go forward as same as the pajamas protects small children from cold or the bed from wetting.

Pajamas are positive thing for children, fear is negative for adults. Our goal is to go over fear.

The worst fears amongst all are:

  1. Fear from people

  2. Fear from loss / risk

My story of public performance

It is said that fear from people is more virulent than fear from death! Here is my related experience; I’ve started to work as a distributor in famous foreign company. My first public performance was after 15 days. I’ve tried to lead promotion in the office. My friend presents me as “person who promises and in front of whom there is brilliant career.” While he was talking my heart started to beat faster and faster and my cheek became red. I tried to apply a technique that I had learned before my performance.” The sentence: When I’m performing in front of people I’m always upset” – should break the ice before continuing. In front of me were 5-6 people. You will probably think that’s not much but believe me in that moment I was under huge stress in front of that “crowd” of people!

My famous speech started with the first sentence but I stopped right there. There was a door from my left side about 2 m far and I run out. My heart was beating so fast that my friend hurried to help me with an anti-stress aroma oils that start to have effect after one minute and I was happy to be - alive!

As you can see, I had a real problem. To become leader I had to perform in front of people. In order to exceed fear from public performance I started to schedule the meetings one to one. It started very successfully, although I was little frighten and uncertain. After a dozen conversations I was more confident and I’ve started to schedule meetings with two persons. At the end I was giving my presentation in front of 3-4 persons and there was time when I had to lead my seminar in front of 100 people!

How did that happen? There was no one of my collaborators on the day of the big seminar I was informed of just one day before. We had one white board in the company and there I wrote notes from my presentation in order to concentrate on my presentation. I took that board in the hall with me and left it on visible place. When I started my presentation I had stage fright; I panic. I focused on that board till I felt relief and than thoughts and words were coming by themselves. At the end of presentation I got a big applause from the audience, my self-confidence has raised and I was happy!

I believe that this story of my public performance will help you a lot.

You are born to win, so take a risk!

When we take risks the chances to lose are big. If we are afraid, we’ll be losers. To take risk means to be ready to make decisions.
