Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc. (BXMT)

Blackstone Mortgage Trust is what I call money gimmick. They have a large pool of capital that they leverage by borrowing even more money at low interest and then lend it out to others at a higher rate. BXMT makes large loans on real estate projects. Since it is a REIT it has to pay out 90% of its profits to investors. I like this one the most because it is tied to Blackstone which give it certain advantages. It pays a nice quarterly dividend.

The above section and the disclaimer won't change much in the daily posts. What I am doing regarding this pick and updates will change from time to time. The idea is to keep it so you can quickly scan these 2 area's and get my thoughts and actions without costing you much time.
