Since I live in Germany I can confirm that there is some reaction to this stockpile statement made from the German government.

At today's supermarket shopping I saw two individuals getting supplies like long-life milk, water, pasta, etc. in hugh amounts and putting it into their cars!

This is really rare since a lot of people just buy in preview of a couple of days..
