What are the most solid ways I earn online?

in money •  8 years ago

I have a day job, as a organic market gardener, and as much as I enjoy my work, it is a relatively new business, going into it's third year, in an industry that is fairly low profit. To help sustain myself I whilst we build our business, I like to have a few other income streams, and after trying various different ideas over the last couple of years here are my top, consistent ways of earning some extra money from home. I hope this helps a few of you out there needing some extra cash.

1. Leapforce / Appen / Lionbridge

This is my most regular income stream, I personally use Leapforce, but I think Appen and Lionbridge are very similar. Leapforce offers work from home, on various projects, but the main ones involves evaluating search engine results for a major search engine, or by rating adverts for a major social networking site. The first offers work which can be as much as full time hours, 40 hours per week, if so desired, but with a minimum of 20 hours per month commitment. The second, you have to commit 5 out of 7 days a week, but it is only 1 hour per day.

I used to work the first one but have since changed to the second, you can work on your phone, and in fact, my project is only now through my android phone. The pay is in USD and pays 14 USD per hour. I usually manage my five days, rarely more so get just under $300 each month for this work. The work is relatively interesting and not too hard.

The pay is the same for both projects. The application for these companies do require a fairly long entrance test, with quite a lot to read before attempting the test, but once on board, it is well worth it. Do take the time to prepare for the test properly, it is a good job to have, and I have been with them almost 18 months now, and they pay regularly, once per month.

To join they are www.leapforceathome.com

2. TextBroker

This is my second good earner. This one does not have such a time commitment, when I have some spare time and fancy doing it, I logon and see what assignments are available. The work consists of writing articles, and when you first join you will need to write an article to be rated. The ratings are 1-5 with 5 being the highest, I started on a 3 but since got upgraded to a 4, as there is a running average of your last 3 ratings.

Basically the higher your rating, the more you get paid per word. There are assignments for various levels, so the higher your level, the more assignments are on offer, and at level 4 I have never really had an issue with not enough articles available. The articles have time limits, typically 1-3 days for 500-1500 word articles, and they payout weekly on Fridays, either to a specified bank account or to a paypal address. They pay in Euros, generally I get around 30-50 euros per week so average about 160 euros a month.

The site for this is www.textbroker.co.uk

3. UserTesting

This is my last, and least used one, but actually pretty easy money. The work consists of visiting specific sites and working through a number of questions, using the site and speaking aloud your experience of using the site, whilst being recorded by microphone, or microphone and webcam. The test are only normally 10 - 30 mins and pay $10-25 each time. So the pay rate is actually very good, but in practice the tests are first come first served, and will have questions to see if you match the demographic for the clients' needs.

The client often rates your responses, not your opinions but more how well you describe and voice them. The better a rater, the higher you are rated, and the more tests are available to you. This is a very easy way to make money, if you don't mind being recorded taking the tests. I use this the least, and make about $100 per month.

The website for this one is www.usertesting.com but there are others that can be found doing a quick google search.

Summary

So, those are my top three ways of working online, but that is not the end. I then use part of the money as seed money for cryptocurrency investments, and then use the rest to add to my matched betting money, which is by far the biggest earner I have ever found, but that deserves a post all of its own.

I hope you have found this helpful, and anyone wanting to make some cash working at home has found some good ideas.
