Do you have a product Amazon? Whether it's a shirt, books, Or phone cases, It's important to rank well in the search results so you can sufficiently sell your product!
- Most people now start on Amazon For their product searching needs. Less and fewer people look on Google with the sole purpose of buying something.
You may think that copying the methods for optimizing on google will get you the results you want on Amazon, While this may be partially true. Amazon has a different algorithm for determining where your product will sit on their pages, And its important to get a good spot!
Amazon is picky with their format
Google hands you a blank canvas to work with, While Amazon likes structure. It seems simple, Fill out the forms required, and you'll have a best-seller in no time, Right?
Not quite.
With Google, You spent a lot of time far away from Google, Building backlinks. And sharing yourself all over social media, while much of the magic with Amazon happens right on the main page.
Fill out as many filters as you can
If your product is colored, Or has special features you want to ensure you filled in the blank. Many customers will not search 1,000,000,000 pages for your product! They may start to use the filters on the left to find exactly what you want, Filling out as many as you can make it easy for you to get what you want exactly!
How does Amazon rank?
By how well the product sells
Of course, Amazon organizes things based on how well they sell; They want you to buy products. That will make them money, They know if the customer doesn't find what they are looking for quickly, They may decide to leave the site and go on another, Much smaller platform. And they don't want that. This seems like a catch-22, You need to sell a lot, To get the exposure to sell a lot.
Photos
Like ebay gets annoying with it sometimes, PHOTOS ARE IMPORTANT. Sure they may be buying the same ramen they eat everyday of the week. So it seems like something that is a waste for a good photo. But it's important; Better pictures is known to generate better sales. And try to activate the zoom feature if possible by getting to 1000x1000 pixels.
Price
If customers are used to a certain price, They will need your products at a similar price. Amazon ranks badly priced items poorly. If They see that your self-published e-book costs 600.00 and every other book similar to yours is 5.00 You won't be able to get the exposure that you need to sell the book.
Relevance
Title
You want keywords in the title, That will encourage Amazon to rank you better. Try to use a couple keywords, But don't overstuff your title, Otherwise you'll scare customers away which will later harm your Amazon ranking.
Yummy Ramen noodles, Flavors Food delicious dinner food
May have a lot of keywords, But as a customer would you want to buy that product? Probably not LOL.
Popular Ramen Noodles, Spicy Beef, Chicken, Curry
Doesn't that sound more attractive? And they used a lot of keywords. If I were looking up ramen on Amazon I would probably type.... (According to merchant words )
ramen noodles 380,600
ramen 380,100
healthy ramen 258,100
shin ramen 252,100
pork ramen 79,100
gluten free ramen 69,100
ramen girl 67,100
vegetarian ramen noodles 65,100
Use Bullet points!
People like to get a quick description and absorb the info as they wish. Try to add 5 or more bullet points to your description.
< br > your text here < / b >
Note: No spaces
- Arent' they pretty
- Do you want to buy this don't you?
- Amazon SOOO likes this!
Reviews!
Many customers don't want to buy a product with 0 reviews; It looks a bit fishy. Although 600, 5-star reviews always looks fishy too.
Make sure your item gets reviews.
Due to Amazon's new policies. You can no longer offer a discount or free item in exchange for an honest review, but you can offer discounts in general. This may encourage your buyers to review. Or you can Email your regular customers and let them know how much their honest opinion means to you, and you'd love it if they reviewed their product.
Some people enjoy leaving reviews, and they'll be happy to do that for you!
Hopefully this will help boost the sales of your Amazon products!
