Consumer debt is at an all-time high and yet the C.O.D. sees this as a sign of consumer strength. So, if say a consumer has zero debt and a positive net worth- does it then mean THAT consumer is weak? I swear to you.. it is impossible to make this stuff up. I just bought my BMW cash, I suppose I am a weak consumer...

Yes, you are a weak consumer.
And, if we pulled your credit score, it would probably be down in the dumps.
You are obviously not consuming enough. You should buy more worthless junk using credit.

But, we all know the savers in today's world are severely punished and criticized.

And how did you get the cash for the BMW? Did you withdraw it at $200/day for weeks? :-p
