Try Givling - one of my all-time favorite startups. Lizbeth Pratt founded Givling after she realized that people faced many structural barriers to eliminating their enormous student loans. One couldn't discharge them like regular debt in bankruptcy (thanks GOP!) and a weak job market meant many graduates had to sacrifice basic necessities in order to keep the creditors at bay. She founded the trivia gambling site, Givling to help people pay off ALL THEIR LOANS.
Givling crowdfunds up to $50,000 towards each student loan that is in the Life Funding Queue; or $25,000 for a home mortgage payment.
All debtors can sign up for free and play at least once a day for free. I've won real money from playing trivia over the years. Once a debtor's name is in the queue, then he/she is in line to have his/her loans forgiven. It's a matter of seniority and chance. For those who've already paid off their debts, they could SELL or TRANSFER their spots to others on the queue. It's a win-win situation.
