Humanity produces 5 exabytes of digital information every 5 minutes

From the start of recorded time to the year 2003, humanity created 5 exabytes (1 million terabytes) of digital information. Today, humanity produces 5 exabytes every 5 minutes. This is a staggering the amount of information creation occurring globally.

That said, Hollywood produces 500 films, or about 1000 hours of content a year, reaching a global audience of nearly 3 billion. By contrast, YouTube produces every 21 minutes what it takes Hollywood a year to produce. And YouTube's audience is vast. It reaches more people in two weeks than Hollywood does in a year. The world's silent majority is surely finding their voice. The awakening has begun.

Cooperation is key. See yourself as a cell in the body of humanity. Your cells/organs cooperate to create you, a highly functioning organism. You would not exist without cellular cooperation. We each need to unite rather than divide. Look how fast Wikipedia came together. It took 100 million hours of volunteer time to create. By comparison, human beings spend 1 trillion (!!) hours watching TV each year. Imagine if some of those hours could be used in cooperative efforts.
