In the recent news, with theDAO hack and the Hard fork, created by the ethereum team to save the hacked DAO eths, A support group.. not supporting the idea of hardforking whenever we feel like to do so... Took over and Kept the Original blockchain active...
Thus calling themselves ETHEREUM classic...
Poloniex took it seriously, cause some supporters of the ETC, are honorable members of the bitcoin and cryptoworld community...
In the moment of the fork.. they were created 2 wallet balances... The ones holding the Ethereums, that hardforked... and the others with the non hardforked...
Poloniex credited all the coins from its wallets, to the users...
For example it if you had 2 ETH, you would get 2 ETC for "free"
Today.. ETC price is skyrocketing!.. What is the official bittrex'es place on that? Cause the ETCs are there too...
It would be a shame... for people supporting bittrex and trading eth there... Not to have a chance on ETC coins...
Even if bittrex doesnt support ETC officialy it could open withdrawals... but thats my personal opinion.
