You raise a good point about structure. That is critical. Think of an outline first and then what people need to know.

In business situations I like to start with the pain they are experiencing. Where are they in need of help. That comes from what it at the top of the pyrimid with listening and doing the research. Then we create the content (down around 5 o'clock) in the form of audio, video, text, pictures, etc. Where it is appropriate.
