Infrared Photography - Hiawassee Skies

in monochrome •  6 years ago

I really enjoy the skies I get to see with my filters, I think the clouds adds contrast in front of the sky. And the clouds we get in the south are rain/hail filled and very fluffy. My entry for #mydailypost #sky created by @leyargoz and @sol25.

The lens flare is natural, created from the angle of the sun at the time of shooting. It seems my camera is more prone to lens flares with the use of filters.

Lastly looking back the other way down the Fairgrounds road, just up the hill was Hamilton Gardens.

Wow, they are all beautiful, but I like the one with the lens flare most.

Dear @johannpiber,
Exactly, I completely agree with you my friend. I like them a lot as well but flares ftw. These flares are pretty perfect. The stunning sky with the clear clouds looks amazing too. I really like that combination. Nevertheless, the first picture got sth. very special to itself (probably because of the lonely road, sky, clouds,...) - just peaceful.
Yours truly, Gandalf The White

Dear @gandalfthewhite,
there's nothing more to say after your words ... maybe a little wish to @solominer, if possible and he does not mind: A comparison original vs infrared so that curious humans like me can see what he sees when he's out there.
Sincerely, Johann

@johannpiber

Yes Gandalf is very good at articulating into words whats going on in my photos. Hes been a follower for a long time and im very grateful for him to chime in. Hah yeah Gandalf actually asks for the same thing. I will do my best to include reference photos, I have IR/UV cut filters to achieve that.

Would be great and certainly interesting if you could do so sometime @solominer

It did line up just right with the tree in this case. But some I think wash out the photo, making a hazy image. This one though did turn out well.

Ive been learning what comes out good in infrared/ultraviolet and so far its water, trees, grass, plants, sky, clouds and people. So I gotta work more locations into my life to get those kind of photos.

evertheless, the first picture got sth.

Dont know what you mean by this.

I was worried people would not like the flare honestly, thats why I had it second. But with the feedback from @johannpiber and Yourself I think ill include them more.

@johannpiber

sorry for the late reply, thanks for the compliments. I think im warming up to lens flares. Im just used to people adding them artificially which im not a fan of.

I think the natural ones are pretty cool though, the sun interacting with the filter being caught on photo. Thats pretty cool.

You're welcome @solominer, yes, the natural ones are what make the image outstanding.

They do really look awesome .

Thank you, really appreciate it.

hermoso lugar las fotos se ven increíbles amigo

Ah thanks, i think so too.
