Monochrome Monday ~ A Kiss at the Hotel Vandivort

in monochromemonday •  7 years ago  (edited)

The newly renovated, historic Hotel Vandivort in Downtown Springfield, MO is a treasure trove for local photographers. There seems to be some new pattern, lighting, or interesting angle to use around every corner in this beautiful, old place.

The image below was taken during an engagement session with a couple from Georgia who made the trip across a few state lines to have their portraits created by @winstonwolfe and myself.

Ugh, that composition is lush!

Thank you! We had to wait this one out a little for some guy on his cell phone to move his car that was parked behind the couple. I'm glad we did because it wouldn't have been the same. lol

Nicely done! I especially like the lights :) Thanks for taking part in #MonochromeMonday! I followed :)

#monochromemonday is a great idea! Thanks for making it happen!
Follow happily returned. :D

IMHO, photography as an art had a downfall with color came around. Most photos now emphasize the color instead of the content and composition. You have a good eye for both, whether mono or color!

@jazzyfish you have taken photography to another dimension. A simple image describes eternal bonding, love and relationship. Also beautify in the ambiance too.

Very nice!

Cool, I upvoted you

Such a sweet photo. This is a picture I hope they framed and hanged it in their living room.
