High Line is a long park built on an elevated section of a disused railway ... on the streets of the west side of Manhattan.It runs from Gansevoort street in the Meatpacking district to the west
High Line Park is 1.45 mile-long (2.33 km), lasts approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the time you spend visiting the various Chelsea Market stalls and the breaks has benches all along its path to sit and enjoy the views or lie and sunbathe, and has become a favourite among New Yorkers during the summer months.
All the activities that take place in the area are free and are taught by volunteers.
The High Line allows you to have another view of Manhattan, because it is getting into the buildings, is somewhat elevated on the street and allows you to see beautiful views of New York and its skyscrapers.
Since its inauguration, The High Line has become one of the must-sees in New York.
El paseo por la High Line de unos 3 kilómetros en total, tiene una duración aproximada de 2-3 horas, en función del tiempo que pases visitando los distintos puestos de Chelsea Market y las pausas que vayas haciendo durante el recorrido la cual está repleto de bancos para sentarse o tumbarse, siendo un lugar que ha adquirido importancia a la hora de tomar el sol en verano.
Todas las actividades que se realizan en la zona son gratuitas y están impartidas por voluntarios.
La High Line permite tener otra visión de Manhattan, pues se va metiendo entre los edificios, está algo elevado sobre la calle y te permite ver preciosas vistas de Nueva York y sus rascacielos.
Desde su inauguración, High Line se ha convertido en una de las visitas imprescindibles de Nueva York.
