I took this picture of Saoirse Ronan earlier this year when she was honored with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival's Montecito Award. Her eyes were tearing up as her friend Timothée Chalamet said a few words about her and her career before presenting her with her award. The 2019 recipient of this award will be Melissa McCarthy, who will likely have an Oscar nomination by then for her work in Can You Ever Forgive Me.
