exodus 19 says that the children of israel arrived ta mount sinai on the third month. they left in the middle of nisan, the first month; they journeyed during the second mont which is iyyar, that makes a total of fourty-five days. in the third month which is sivan they arrived at mont sinai, almost fifty days after passover, when they left egypt. sinai was in fire when came down to give the law.
