Hey Guys! Hope you all enjoying your day! I am here publishing my first post on Day #1 in #monthlyauthorchallenge for the month of February. As I said, I am going to publish a post on a topic related to search engine optimization every day in this month.
Day #1 Title ~ Understand the Search Engine Optimization Basics:
Whatever you are willing to learn, starting from the basics is mandatory to understand the technical aspects of the particular field. A quality building needs a proper foundation in the beginning of its construction.
Search Engine Optimization in a shorter term called SEO is a technique or process or even mentioned as a strategy following by webmasters or SEO companies to increase the visibility of the website through various search engines.
Will you just show me any business that does not have competitors?
Of course, it's tough to find, because of too many competitors everywhere in all the fields. And we are living in the world that requires internet for our day to day life to ordering foods, booking travel tickets, shopping dresses, booking entertainment shows tickets, mobile recharges and even thousands of more purposes.
So, if you are owing a blog or website for your business, designing and developing a website is not just enough and you have to take a further move in order to take your business websites to successful phase by following SEO techniques.
What will you do when you need to find something over the internet?
Obviously, you open Google (Search Engine) and you search for preferred queries (keywords) according to your requirements and then Google will offer you set of results (websites) and then you open any websites from the top 3 or 4 results or even in the first 10 results (you wont prefer to visit the results from the second page) and lastly you will find a source on what you need.

Now the question is, maybe there are thousands of websites that have information about the query you searched on Google. Have you ever questioned yourself? How and why Google search engine gives you only 10 best websites (apart from ads) related to your query in its result page?
It's very simple, those websites are highly well-optimized websites with a matched contents according to Google SEO algorithms and Google search engine would prefer you offer those websites among all the available websites.
If you are serious about having your websites or blog appear in top search results, then SEO is a deal for you to attract visitors from search results.
There are two major strategies in SEO, off-page and on-page optimization and many sub-strategies under the two main process. I will explain the strategies in my upcoming steemit posts.

Actually you know @misslasvegas I first thought of publishing a picture everyday with a description around 30 to 50 words in terms of participating in #monthlyauthorchalleng but later I questioned myself why don't I post something interesting and what I experienced for #monthlyauthorchalleng and I decided to choose #seo then.
