Somehow, I have a personal issue with military men in Nigeria and the reason is because they use to feel too special, an average military man will see you on the road and expect that you begin to kneel, prostrate or lie down for him, they feel too special.
In Nigeria, you can be moving on the street and a military man will call you and begin to search unnecessarily with claims that he is suspecting you, when you try to tell him to stop the harassment, he tells you that you are too rude and he may even slap you for no just reason.
Except, if you have a close relative who is also a military man, then the man who insulted you will just go scot free with the beating without anyone questioning him for what he has done. I use to wish that I had the power to face some of them one day for treating the civilians that way in a democratic country they have the right to call us bloody civilians, it is just really annoying and uncalled for.
They even have the right to stop bus drivers and bike riders on the road to collect money from them, if those ones dare questions their order; they seize their cars or bikes and even sometimes threaten to shoot them
Today, while I was coming home from church, I noticed a man who was fighting with a police man, the fight was really a serious one and there was someone there who tried to separate the fight.
The man fighting with the police man happened to be a bus driver and he was ready to beat the police man blue back if not for the man who was trying to separate the fight.
What got me amazed the most was that the police man threatened to pull the trigger and the bus driver dared him to shoot while he was trying to give him a good beating.
The bus driver said, even if you shoot the gun I will not feel it so try to pull the trigger and see, you foolish man.
I was really happy to watch the military man get some beating; I wish there could be more people in the country who had the effrontery to beat military men up that way or maybe if I had the power to deal with them whenever they want to insult anybody.
