Summer keeps hanging on,
Yet it is almost time to reset the clocks.
The days are so much shorter now;
Am I so much older, because
I notice it more?
§
When I was young, the days would last from
Dawn to dusk as they still do now,
But then the two seem separated
By the briefest of moments.
Never enough time.
§
When as a child, to me it took FOR EVER for Christmas to
Get here;
now?
It seems there are two events in the year;
Christmas and my birthday.
§
Youth is so fleeting; we don’t appreciate it while
It is flying by, then when it is gone, we turn
To look, wondering where it went.
§
I see no way to stop the march of time,
Nor
To recover those days lost, the days
Gone by.
§
We must do our best to
Appreciate the days we have
Left.
Make them the most
Loving and caring days of
Your life so far; you can
Always be better than
You were yesterday.
