The life line of mosquitoes

The word "mosquito" is Spanish for "little fly"

Plenty of insects, mosquitoes included, are really attracted by the scent of the carbon dioxide (CO2) gas that we humans and other animals naturally exhale. Mosquitos use a form of vision that can spot a host and other thermal sensory information that can help to detect body heat.

Some people produce more of certain chemicals in their skin. There's evidence that proves that one blood type (O) attracts mosquitoes more than other blood types (A or B).
Depending on the type of blood you have, you secrete different scents. Mosquitoes are attracted to potassium, salt, and lactic acid released by your body.

Whichever species you encounter, you should always protect yourself from them.
