Thank God it's February! Happy new month, lovely steemians! I hope we've all gotten over the frenzy of the new year with the month gone and settled properly with the dawn of this fresh month, February. With us to wind down this first week of the month are @bennyjay, motivating us to see the good opportunities in this new beginning of the month, and @sistem with his final episode of The Sick Leave. OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND IN NEW BEGINNINGS

It's a brand new day and another brand new month 😀. For the wise ones, it's also a brand new opportunity for fulfilment.

Was there something y'all failed (for one reason or the other) to achieve in the just finished 2018 January? It's never too late…. Today is another day!!

….. Secondly, February is a month of love💏..… yeah, we all know that...but I wish to point out in this month that all love shouldn't be focused on that one special person who makes your heart beat so fast it's like you're about hyperventilating.

Do well to spread the love to everyone around you…no matter how little… put a smile on that little boy/girls face this month…. Let your little contribution and impact be felt by those around you.

….. In terms of careers, business opportunities, family, friends, decision making e.t.c… just a little thing to say, it's never too late until it's over… you can still begin now to turn your dreams into realities… find that willpower and inspiration within you and transmit it into the energy that drives you. Keep daily records of your progress and do a checklist every weekend to know your position/stand…..You Can Do It

….Back to Love….I so much love the word😀…. It's Valentine's month….valentine - a time of loving, caring and sharing…. This year however brings us so many things/activities on that one day of February 14, 2018….

It's Valentine's day😘

Some of our favourite football leagues will be playing that day😂😂 (hehehe.....clears throat ...I personally wonder what the babes have to say about this…. They'll probably chewgum their guys that day….there must sha be some taking out…LOL)

….In all, opportunities abound in new Beginnings so whilst celebrating the new month, also take out time to share with others and invest in that which you've always wanted to be/do…

SICK LEAVE #3

Just as Jessica left the Manager’s office, she met Tessy giggling behind the door. She passed without saying a word to Tessy and went straight to her desk. Tessy knowing that Jessica was mad at her, decided to let her be and also went to her own desk.

Jessica wasn’t having any of that at work as she was restless and kept hissing. The task the Manager gave her to do was quite a hectic one and you can imagine giving a job that difficult to a person who never planned coming to work because she was tired. She had no option but to put in her best else she would face her boss again and that’s what she didn’t want for the second time.

Few hours later it was 5 O’clock and it was time to dismiss but she hadn’t still finished the job. At this point she was sweating profusely even with the 3HP air-conditioners placed at strategic places within the office enclosure.

Jessica! The Manager called. Are you done with my work?

''No sir but almost done'', Jessica answered.

At this point, Tessy was ready to leave but couldn’t leave her friend behind. The time was 5:30pm and the day had already been far spent, yet the Manager wasn’t ready to go home because he had a plan.

From the very first day Jessica got employed into the organisation, the Manager had always liked her and had always picked special interest in her. The Manager is a tall, dark skinned, handsome elderly man in his early 60s who takes his job very seriously but always melts away whenever he finds himself around Jessica but was always arrogant towards her because he felt making her scared of him would probably make asking her out or approaching her for a personal conversation much easier for him.

Jessica, still very much upset with her friend Tessy, refused speaking to her the whole time. At about 15mins past the hour of six, the Manager came out of his office thinking he would meet Jessica all alone and was shocked to see Tessy still hanging around.

''Tessy, what are you still doing here?'' He asked angrily.

''I am waiting for Jessica'', she replied with a soft voice.

''Ok, you can start going home now', Jessica is not a baby, she can take care of herself'', He said cunningly.

‘’Owk Jessica, see you tomorrow’’, Tessy said with a smile on her face, but was met with an angry red, blazing pair of eyes when Jessica looked up from her desk.

Certain that Tessy had left the building, the Manager went back to his office and in less than 10mins, Jessica was done with the job and had to report to the Manager’s office but was scared because she felt the Manager had something up his sleeves but couldn’t figure out exactly what it was, having not had such an encounter with her boss before.

‘’What if he rapes me?’’ She thought to herself.

As she approached the manager’s door, her heart raced fast as she didn’t know what was going to befall her as she gets into the office. She knocked on the door and walked into the office, presented the documents to the boss and made to leave when she was called back.

''Jessica do you know why I have kept you this late today?'', The Manager asked.

‘’No sir’’, she replied in a soft tone with her heart racing faster as the Manager stood up and walked towards her.

He stood in from of Jessica, put his hand behind her head and said, “Jessica, I kept you this long here because I wanted to have a word with you here since I would still have to go home to my family from here. I have always liked you since you stepped into this office and have taken you as a daughter and that’s why I have always been harsh towards you. I want the best from you because I know you have a lot to offer but of late you’ve been clubbing and moving around with people who are of no good for you’’.

Jessica looked at the Manager with a dilated pupil in amazement.

‘’Oh you think I don’t know?’’ He said with a smirk on his face as he continued.

‘’I have kids your age and I wouldn’t want you towing the line you are towing right now. You’ve been a good girl and I want you to remain that way. Try not to come late to work next time and be the role model to others like you’ve always been’’.

‘’I will take you home tonight to make sure you get home safely’’, he said as he stretched out his hands and gave Jessica a warm fatherly hug.
