There are lots of personality tests out there, but I haven’t seen one that focuses on temperaments.
Many of us are familiar with the Myers Briggs personality test. It’s probably the most popular and has been used for years. But it’s focused on the individual and how they relate to other people.
That’s a bit different from temperament. And temperament is an important topic to discuss when working with others, especially for the long term.
So here’s a list of some important personality traits that may help you find your perfect fit for your career.

It’s very similar to the Myers-Briggs test but focuses more on behavior than on the individual’s internal feelings. And it provides some insights into a person’s temperament as well.
For example, introverted, dedicated individuals tend to prefer tasks requiring concentration and structure. This includes writing and speaking in front of others, working on teams, and having structured meetings.
On the other hand, extroverted, spontaneous individuals often enjoy social activities and thrive off interaction. This includes sales, sales management, and presenting in front of others.
So how does the Temperament Tree apply to finding your ideal job or career?
Think about your personality type and how you interact with others. Do you prefer people over technology or vice versa? Do you prefer to work alone or with other people?
Your temperament traits will give you some clues on what you’ll need in a career or company.
WORKING WITH OTHERS
You need to work with others in order to succeed in today’s world. And working with others doesn’t always mean being social.
Even if you hate interacting with others, you still need to be comfortable and competent in a team environment.
And you may want to find a company or company culture that matches your temperament.
Here’s an example: Personality Traits. Dedicated/Lazy. People who tend to be on-the-go often prefer to work on their own and prefer to work at home. But sometimes, they may crave for interaction.
They thrive off working with other people and find it easy to collaborate on projects.
Analytical/Spontaneous
Analytical people focus on the big picture. They may prefer to work alone but they appreciate the idea of collaborating on a project.
