Your Confidence is at Stiffness - A Little Pain Can Make You Stronger

in motivation •  4 years ago

Sometimes a little discomfort often makes you stronger. A small ache or pinch is hard to ignore, especially if the discomfort gets you feeling badly about yourself. Discomfort is actually one of our natural instincts and there is nothing wrong with that. It keeps us alive.

The problem comes when the discomfort becomes chronic and the pain becomes worse than ever before. When this happens, you can forget about comfort. Even idyllic experiences like lying on the beach or enjoying a cup of hot coffee sometimes turn into painful events. A little discomfort often makes you stronger.

What's important is to understand why discomfort makes you stronger. It's all about how it makes you feel. If your discomfort feels good, then it's probably because you are feeling strong. If your discomfort makes you feel weak or hopeless, then you probably lack sufficient confidence. It's not surprising that chronic discomfort often makes you weaker.

So how can you make you stronger when suffering from discomfort? One way is to ignore the source of your discomfort. Don't spend your time analyzing why you are suffering with aching muscles or throbbing joints. Just keep moving. Ignore your discomfort at its source, and don't give it any attention.

Another approach is to let go of any guilt you feel about having discomfort. Feeling guilty about something is a strong motivation for seeking comfort. By thinking you are somehow bad or sick, you are more likely to seek comfort. Guilt, however, should be used with discretion. For instance, it would be counterproductive to feel guilty about being born with a physical handicap.

Finally, you can work on challenging discomfort. If discomfort keeps you from doing what you want to do, think about whether it would have been better if you could have done something differently. Even if it was only by a small degree, the effect would be significant. The little discomforts we endure in our daily lives add up to create strength. When you look at the discomfort as a way to enhance your strength, it becomes possible to rise above it. It becomes possible to make you stronger.

To some extent, discomfort also gives us inspiration. When your discomfort makes you feel powerful, or inspired, it is important to acknowledge the source of your inspiration. Sometimes that inspiration comes from knowing that you are doing something right. Other times it comes from knowing that you are going to experience an outcome that you are looking forward to. Regardless, of where the inspiration comes from, acknowledging it can make you stronger.

Making yourself uncomfortable can be a powerful experience. It can inspire and motivate you into action. It can make you stronger. It can give you the confidence to take on life's challenges. Don't let discomfort make you weaker.

Remember that discomfort is an integral part of life. In fact, it is a necessary component of living. Without it, we would not be able to function properly. However, if we make ourselves suffer too much, it can limit our potential. Therefore, it is essential that we learn to deal with discomfort.

A good way to do this is to acknowledge your discomfort, and then write it down. As you look at your notes, what do you see as being the source of your discomfort? When you find the source, examine it and then determine how it can make you stronger. Do not allow your discomfort to hold you back.

Finally, you should know that discomfort can help you grow. As you go through life, you will inevitably experience discomfort. However, as a person becomes more aware of their discomfort, they become more willing to take steps to get rid of it. These are three powerful concepts that will help you make you stronger.

In addition to recognizing the concept of discomfort, you should also understand the concept of resiliency. Resiliency is about managing change. Although change can be scary, you should learn to manage it. You do not want to go from being fearful of change to being afraid of staying in your comfort zone. Rather, you should aim to make yourself change - and a little discomfort often makes you stronger.
