Hello lovely steemian, it's a new year and I'm sure you're very happy about it.

I'm happy too to see the new year alive and in good health and I'm also happy to see the new year with you.

So many persons are looking forward to a great year, including me. People want to improve on their lives, their relationships, finances, health etc. They have high hopes and plans for the new year.

The start of the new year is usually when people plan and set their new year resolutions, carefully setting down goals they wish to achieve in the year. They pray and make wishes hoping and striving to works towards it. Doing this is important as it gives you a clear focus to achieve what you want to achieve.

Even though it's sometimes difficult to achieve most of them, you got to be keep trying.

In this blog post, I'll be sharing with you some of the things you need to do and resolutions you need to set to enable you to get to that future and great year you always desire and dream of.

1. Create time for yourself to do one thing that you cherish yet have never had enough energy and chance to for it.

Let us be honest, life is simply going to get busier and busier, and you won't have additional extra time with less obligations practically around the corner.

Furthermore, the greatest advantage to doing your thing is that you feel good while doing it. Utilize that as a spark to begin.

2. Utilize any opportunity to smile and be happy.

Why? Because laughter and smiling keeps you in touch with your real self. It stimulates your body to create more endorphins, the hormones that makes or keep you happy.

And do you know what? You can never get enough of it. You need more and more of it. Watch a comedy movie, recount amusing stories to your friends, watch comedy skits, etc., be happy at wherever and whatever point you find the opportunity to be happy. Roar with laughter so hard that your stomach hurts from it!

3. Work on creating one habit or skill that will get you closer to a desired goal.

I know that you most likely definitely recognize what it is, but on the other hand you're great at procrastinating (you and every other person; we're masters at it!).

Consider it this way : when you begin dealing with this skills or ideas, something like learning a new language or eating a particular healthy meal a day, you're instantly putting resources into your future. Now, that is being wise.

4. Listen more to yourself.

Even though this sounds intelligent, we often do not do it or we do it sparingly.
We let the consistent prattle of outer powers to suffocate our voice. That goes for people or individuals around us, from neighbors to family to collaborators and even companions. Yet, no one recognizes what's in your psyche and your heart, not by any means, with the exception of you.
Tune in to your internal voice, regard it, respect it, and give it some space to be heard.

5. Read more.

Not only whatever you see on the web, or on Twitter or Facebook or Reddit.
Read good books. Read about world history, technology, arts, music, folklore, geography,.

Read memoirs of smart and intelligent individuals, capable individuals, warriors, extraordinary people who formed history.

Read a scholarly books: a book by Tolstoy, Kafka, Marquez, Camus Dostoevsky, Hemingway, Twain, Shakespeare, Balzac, etc.

Read to learn, to garner experience, to see more about the world and about human instinct.

6. Say thank you consistently for three little things you have in your life at the present time.

Doing this will move your viewpoint from concentrating on the negatives and what you feel you're lacking in to the positive things that can make life more important to you everyday.

Furthermore, it's not about material things and wealth possessions; consider the little things, such as treating yourself to a warm and nice meal toward the end of the day or having a dear companion to have a good time with.

7. Maintain a True Friendship

You may have several friends on your online social networking sites, and many other friends from school and work environment. Yet, the real deal isn't in the numbers; it's in keeping up a genuine friendship with one particular individual who you cherish, gain from, trust, and have high regards for.

Sustain that friendship at whatever point and ability you can. Be there for each other not just when the going is good and sweet, but also when things gets tough (since it will influence life to feel easier). That is another good way to plan for your future.

8. Rest more.

I know that staying up throughout the night will occur once in a while, and there will be a genuine purposes behind it: it could be planning for an exam, perusing an engrossing book, or just not having the desire or ability to fall asleep because of stress and worry of upcoming events.

However, do all you can to make sure that this does not develop into a habit. Your brain and mind works well when you're always well rested. So deal with it by giving it a chance to loosen up and have sufficient energy to process all that data or information you loaded into it during the day.

9. Try something new, something that intimidates and scares you, something that you know nothing about.

This is because the feeling of learning a new thing , conquering a fear that’s been holding and fighting you down for years, and garnering knowledge in something you never knew or think was even possible for you to try is such a powerful and impactful thing. It changes the whole game.

If you try to do this, you’ll feel as if you are on top of the world.

10. Press the pause button on your life and give yourself some space and opportunity to dream.

On the car to work, strolling home from school, gazing out the window from your sit at home, riding your bicycle in the evening, lying on your bed, walking on the beach taking a look at the surface of the water and the reflection of the clouds and birds up in the sky, and huge stretch of the blue cloud; give your mind a chance to meander. Give your thoughts a chance to rise to the top.

It is during these moments that you'll truly feel that you are right here, right now and, that moment is precious and priceless.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
