Steemit monthly report: Never give up on Steemit

Persevere and do it because you love it

I'm about a month into Steeming on Steemit and so far it's been an incredibly interesting journey for me. I've learned so much and I'm still very much a freshman as I only just learned how to do a header correctly last week. Should always read the instructions on the box first, instead of going caveman into it. After about a month of delving into my mind palace and blogging like crazy, I'm already considering setting up a rig to mine for a crypto currency, I only heard about a couple of weeks ago called...you guessed it Ethereum!

I'm even thinking big and would like to incorporate green energy into the mining operation, feeding it with clean energy from the wind or the sun. It would also save a fortune and give a certain level of autonomy to the Crypto Farmer. Speaking of Farmers, I'm in a place that is the Farming powerhouse of the Netherlands, so speaking to farmers about farming Crypto currency leaves them scratching their heads a little bit, but just imagine the possibilities. ;-D

All of this is just from a month of being on Steemit and acting like a human sponge, soaking up all this knowledge and opening my mind. Truth be told, even the mere mention of the word Bitcoin used to scare me a little, but now I've thoroughly immersed myself into this new Crypto world and learning every day. I will always remain a white belt in the mind, throughout my entire life.

But the whole monetary aspect was mind blowing and I really started to analyse things immediately, trying to understand what posts garner the optimum payout, like any person does, I'm sure. ;-) So, after a month of analysing my blogs and following how they weather the seven day post posting storm to what subjects attract the most views, even carefully monitoring the times, observing which parts of the day and week are the best to post. You will drive yourself crazy doing this, I did to some degree and just had to let that mindset go.

Prior to opening my account on Steemit, I did some research and remember seeing a review by a person whose name I cannot remember, apologies, but the poignant thing about his article, was he wrote, 'not to enter Steemit to make money' and that really resonated with me and even more so now. Have I made any money, not really, but will I down the line, I'm pretty sure I will. But for now, It's about having fun and doing what you love. We're all reporting on different things that we individually love the most or what's important to us at this particular chapter in our lives. Apart from 'downloading gigabytes' of information into my brain everyday from this platform and opening new doors for a more prosperous future, this is a training ground or a proving ground to enhance your written skills, test-run your concepts, gain confidence and more importantly network. I even believe that Steemit could be a Google in the future, in respect to being one's best friend and sourcing information at the touch of a button. Another bonus is all the content you have produced, which isn't going anywhere can be used again for future projects, such as your photos, videos, articles, information etc.

Steemit is really young and evolving, so if you're like me, thinking is this the new thing that's going to allow me to switch lanes work-wise, then no, not in my case anyway. I also recognise that my posts could be better and that will come with time and 'perseverance'.

I see the crazy figures for posts, that are just as good as ones that attract a fraction of the payout, but now I understand more about the payout system and accept that this is the way it is.....for now. I shall endeavour to continue showing whoever wants to see the beauty of this place called Earth through my eyes, because I really enjoy it and have a long term vision. We all see the world through different eyes, so I'm looking forward to seeing what content other Steemians Steem out for the future, but for me, it's goodnight, God bless and much love.

I think it is important just to start with Steemit and don't think about making money. That will all come later. First build a group of followers and some Steem Power. Together with writing posts of good content you build a basis that can become very rewarding in the future.

I concur completely EE. It's the novelty of the monetary concept that drives some people initially, until reality settles in. Long term vision is what I have. Thanks for posting and hope all is well on the other side of the world. ;-D

I started on steemit and am soooo new and confused! I like journeling and documenting my life. One day my kids and grandkids may find value in it. For now, it's fun. Hopefully one day I will learn my way around this platform. Until then, I'm with ya.

It will all come together in a shorter space of time than you think and you'll find your rhythm. You're already halfway there, and that's approaching this out of fun and the rest will follow. ;-)

Simply. A. Nice. Post ;)

Thank you so much! :-D
