FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER

To forgive means to pardon, to wave any negative feeling or desire for punishment. In other words, forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which the offended undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, let go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, bitterness, malice, etc with an increased ability to wish the offender well. Most times we would say, why should i forgive or why should we forgive one another? and what are the evidences to show that we have actually forgive someone?. Kindly read through and i hope you will have a change of mind and possess a heart of forgiveness.

WHY SHOULD WE FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER?

In our dealings as humans, there is tendency to step on one another's toes, but we must learn to forgive one another as God forgives us. The reasons why we should forgive one another include the fact that:

• Forgiveness is a command from God just as God is love, we should also love one another and forgive each other no matter the circumstance and situation.

• It is a condition for answered prayers by God. When you forgive easily God answers your prayers speedily.

• It is the one who forgives that God defends.When yo forgive be rest assured that God is always with you and he will fight for you to the end.

• Unforgiveness leads to bitterness and in turn results in ill health.

• Unforgiveness opens the door to demonic attack and insecurity.

• Forgiving one another is a condition for us to be blessed and to also prosper.

EVIDENCE OF FORGIVENESS

The man who forgives from the heart will not seek for revenge. He will always seek peace. Such individual will show love and will be willing to pray for the offender. he does not keep record of wrong doing, he does not keep grudges. He loves everyone just as he loves himself.

What a beautiful place the world would be if we all forgive ourselves of offenses, we should show good examples especially as God has commanded us. Let the love of God be seen in us, let us share this love among one another, let us live happily, let us be our brothers keeper and in all things let us be a blessing to everyone around us.
