Break Through the Threshold of Fear

One of the most incredible things about being a human is that we all have innate gifts that we bring into this world. For some people it comes out naturally right from the get-go and others spend their entire lives searching and never seem to find it.

This energizing burst of creativity flows naturally to us when we discover the vehicle for which we can direct our energy the way that resonates most closely with us. This creative burst is found in every single person on this planet, and most importantly, whether you find it is dependent on YOU.

When we begin to follow the path that as laid out for us (from our internal guidance system) we begin to see the world with a whole new pair of eyes. You must act with persistent intention for your highest good so that you put yourself in the right mindset and begin to attract the opportunities that you need in life to build up your character to become the person you need to in order to achieve the level of success that you truly desire.

The most important thing you can do is just take that first step!

But when we go to step, something often halts our progress. Fear is standing at the door not letting you pass. Because in order to make it to the other side, you must first understand what this fear is trying to teach you.

Fear will immobilize you and paralyze you if you make a choice to let it in. The keyword here is choice.

This world is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. When fear comes knocking at your door, you can run, you can spend all of your energy suppressing and denying it, pretending it’s not even there. Or you can open that door, invite it in and embrace the fear with love and compassion.

Just so you know, you are allowed to make mistakes.

I see so many people just vindictively ripping and tearing themselves apart for seemingly no reason at all. The reason is because they have done things in the past that they haven’t been able to let go of. Or they have had something traumatic happen to them and they have become the victim. Then fear creeps in and morphs the perspective you have of yourself.

You start to create an identity based around this fear that is dominating you. You submit and therefore never truly step into your divine potential.

In this ever-expansive world we must learn how to work together with ourselves just as we would a team of other individuals. Because we live in a dualistic world, we are comprised of more components than one. To keep it simple we will just focus on the ego and the spirit.

The ego is designed to constantly be a protector. It does this by causing us to be afraid as a type of defense mechanism. But in the society we live in today much of our fear is unnecessary. Fear is used as a means of survival, but nowadays people have this ego-fear program running almost all the time! I could not imagine living every waking hour in some form of fear.

Our spirit, however, is what I was referring to as your internal guidance system. I like to think about it like a video game. You, the player, see everything that is happening, you have choices you can make which affects the outcome of the game. But we are typically shown which path we are supposed to go and the character within the game (like us on earth) follows the commands without being able to see the bigger picture. All we get is a glimpse, a feeling, an emotion. These are all things that are helping to guide us to where we need to go. It may feel like a bit of a burden at times, but it is necessary to teach us what we need to learn.

But when we learn to work together with our ego and our spirit, keeping ourselves in check and becoming aware of how we are spending our time and energy, we will begin to transform. Just as a caterpillar must enter the cocoon and basque in the darkness for an extended period of time before metamorphisizing into a beautiful butterfly, so must you if you wish to open your wings. Love and unity my friends <3

Great content, things up!

Yes, exactly my perspective. " The ego is a protector". The Ego creates Separation but only because it fears Oneness! Yet from my perspective all within our frame of choice, for as the One Light we are we eternally create as we wish and before we entered this Universe of Separation we WANTED this experience.:)

On my profile I also have an article called "Artists as telepathic Soul readers" which is sort of a disclosure. And here, I share your "Ego as protector" statement, for many people wonder about the existence of extraterrestrials.
By disbelieving in it, this is not ignorant but simply a sign that we are not ready yet because we would be overwhelmed and in utter fear, so our Ego protects us from it by dismissing it as false so that it doesn't burden us. Our Soul will know when it's time! :)

Great piece of work!:)

I think the idea of oneness in a sense goes against the inherent programming of the ego. But I also think that the ego is open to the idea if you develop a good enough relationship with it :)

That was a very interesting article you wrote! I love thinking about the fact that we are simply channels and it's interesting to think about how we are connected to past and future versions of ourselves without even consciously realizing it.

Love, @meditationmann! I read this book a few months ago. I think it was called Spirit Guides. The author’s belief was that our entire lives are games, almost like the Game of Life. We can go many ways, but there is truly one “Golden path” - if we follow our hearts and intuition, we will live wonderful lives we had chosen for ourselves :). I thought it was a very interesting point of view!

YES!! That is so synchronous because I have been thinking a lot about that and how life really is like a video game. I like to make it fun and keep it interesting by "unlocking achievements" when I feel like I have done something different or unique. And seeing how we are the main characters on this journey we have millions of billions of choices to make. But I definitely agree that there is one true golden path that is what we truly, deeply desire. But as we go through this life I think a big challenge is learning to listen to that voice so that we can ultimately arrive exactly where we desire to be :)

Oh the fear is gripping me indeed. Which is why I am still where I am for years. The last time I majorly grew in a spiritual way was way back 2010. Since then I feel like I've been progressing very slow because of this fear.

Have you ever looked into speaking with a shaman? There are other things that could help you, as a soon to be life coach I'm sure I could offer some assistance. However, from what I have learned a lot of our darkness is hidden by our subconscious. A shaman however, is able to directly guide you through this darkness so you can come out the other side much stronger as a result :)

No shaman here though but thanks.

There are a lot of shamanic practitioners that are spread all over the world. I have been studying shamanism myself and have learned that throughout our lives we experience what is called "soul loss." This occurs typically, but not exclusively, when we experience trauma in our lives. In order for us to survive, part of ourselves detaches from the situation and literally leaves. This part of our soul goes to other dimensions to find comfort or sometimes it remains stuck in those same cycles that it left.

The job of the shamanic practitioner is to venture into this reality in order to retrieve the lost part of yourself. Almost everyone has experienced some level of soul-loss without realizing it. Heartbreak causes a lot of soul-loss. We become so attached to someone that when they leave, we literally lose part of ourselves.

At that point it is up to us to figure out how to mend the lost parts of ourselves. Many times, the only way to truly overcome this is through the use of shamanism. Even conventional psychology focuses only on what is already here.

So basically with therapy, the therapist would be knocking and that part of you that is gone wouldn't be there to answer. So when they ask questions to help mend these fragmented parts, they are simply working with other parts of yourself. But they don't actually bring back this fragmented part of your soul. The use of shamanism with psychology could work very well together though.

I have experienced some soul loss myself that goes back to early childhood. Before the age of 7 I have very few memories. I have been told of trauma that happened to me, but I don't remember any of it. So I am currently seeking to find the parts of me that left so I can bring them back to help me become my greatest version, and to help others do the same.

Oh that sounds exciting. So wouldn't it be possible to just call out to our lost parts and get them back?

Yes that is possible to do but just like our core selves, we have fears that prevent those aspects of ourselves from returning. It doesn't know the state in which our core selves are in, it just assumes that it is in a better place (which is why it went there in the first place). But it would be possible without the use of a shaman to retrieve them, but would require a lot of psychotherapy probably and preparation to ensure that it will be welcomed upon return. However, this method could take years for your lost parts to be able to return.

I think about it like if we were lost on earth somewhere and had no idea how to get back or even if we wanted to come back. The only way we might find our way home sometimes comes when we are called. If our lost selves receives the signal we have sent out then it is possible it may be heard and pursued, but not likely.
