Pablo Picasso was born in Spain; Malaga to be precise. He was known to be drawing pictures even before he could utter a word. He was regarded as a bad student because when others were in class; listening and writing, he would pick out his book and start drawing. He was so much in love with painting that he finished his first oil painting at the age of eight.

When he clocked 14 years of age, his family moved to Barcelona; still in Spain. He told them he wanted to go to the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and the pre-requisite for it is that such a student must be able to finish a painting in a month. To everyone’s amazement, Pablo Picasso finished his painting in a day.

When he was 18 years old, he travelled to Paris; in France. He lived in a very small room and would be painting under the dim light of a candle. He was really poor at the time that he might not be able to afford a candle sometimes. He kept at it and he never gave up.

He believed so much in his ability and he knew his area of grace. Your area of grace is where you have an advantage over others; the things you do with ease that others find so hard to do. He was persistent and he continued painting one piece after the other. As God would have it, he met important people and they started buying his artworks. His talent made way for him and he became so rich and famous.

When he was ageing, his passion never waned nor diminishes. He continued painting even till old age. In fact, when he was 90 years old, he painted 200 pictures and he died a year after, at the age of 91 years.

What have you been blessed with? You need to keep at it and be consistent. Imagine if he had stopped painting? He would never have come across those who finally approached him to buy his painting. Be persistent and be consistent with whatever you are gifted and talented in.

…THE END…

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
